12”x 12” – Natural Maple Frame
Acrylic2025
"Town Lake Rising" is an original painting by Luke Smith. A lone paddle boarder glides across Lady Bird Lake—approaching Austin’s Congress Bridge. A heavy stroke of paint stretches downward, capturing the weight and motion of the water in a single bold gesture. Here, nature and city converge, and the current carries both the silence and energy of this wild horizon.
My Wild Horizons series leans more abstract, stripping away detail so the colors, shapes, and textures can tell the story. Each piece balances two forces: the energy of the wild and the calm of the horizon line. This collection is for the adventurer, the dreamer, the person who needs a reminder to look up and breathe. My hope is that each painting offers you a sense of freedom, calm, and connection.
